Second Shooting at Stone Haven Venue


There is something so special about stepping into a wedding day as a second shooter, and my recent opportunity to second shoot for Brooklyn Jean Photo at the stunning Stone Haven Venue reminded me exactly why I love it so much.


As a wedding photographer, it's easy to get caught up in timelines, family portraits, and making sure every important moment is documented. But second shooting gives me the freedom to experience a wedding day from an entirely different perspective. I can slow down, look for the in-between moments, and focus on the details that help tell a couple's story.


Stone Haven Venue provided the perfect backdrop for timeless wedding photography. From the elegant ceremony space to the thoughtfully designed reception details, every corner offered beautiful opportunities for natural, documentary-style images. While Brooklyn Jean Photo captured the key moments, I found myself drawn to the quiet interactions, emotional candid moments, intricate bridal details, and the atmosphere that makes every wedding unique.


Second shooting has become one of my favorite ways to continue growing as a wedding photographer. It encourages me to observe more intentionally, anticipate genuine moments, and create meaningful images without the pressure of leading the day. Every wedding reminds me that some of the most beautiful photographs happen in the pauses—the glance between newlyweds, a parent's proud smile, or the carefully chosen details that couples spend months planning.
